MS: First, I want to introduce a little background in APG-82 radar. APG-82 does belong to the product line of Raytheon’s safety sensor solution. They are the products in the product line. We will track all the various radars of F-15 derived, run through its life cycle (development, production, maintenance).

We also have a lot of international projects, some of which are in progress. We are very excited to have an APG-82 impact on international.

I am really excited to be part of this project. Since 18 years ago, I have always been a member of the F-15 project since I have a lot of experience in this project. This is basically my dream, I am really fortunate to lead this field with strong support from the leadership, and continue to develop this field with the US Air Force, Boeing and International Partners. I am very fortunate to come here. I have a lot of enthusiasm for this product, which comes from the experience of the F-15 radar project, apparently, and excellent people who work together every day.

Tr: APG-82 What new changes can be brought to “attack eagle” and its derivatives (such as F-15EX)? Which performance is its predecessor APG-70?

MS: I think APG-82 provides some tactical advantages, including increased defense from empty and earth-to-air. It also brings more search range, faster target processing speed, and reduces the workload of the crew.

In addition, APG-82 provides higher reliability and security compared to APG-70, which is directly related to the practicality of the aircraft. Some people think that the APG-82 needs more maintenance than the MSA (previously “hitting the Hawk” machine foreign derivatives) APG-70 radar.) APG-82 requires more maintenance. About “727” plane, this is the platform of our RMT (Raythene Multi Project Test). This plane is absolutely helpful in testing the different developments we do. We use this plane to test some things and resolve any vulnerabilities that may see, which helps to shorten the development cycle. In this way we can also cut costs for our customers. We did do this in domestic development, which is also doing this in international development … this is a large part of the various means of shortening the development cycle, which can provide technology to customers faster.

MS: Yes, there are different simulators. I don’t know the specific details, but I know that we have different simulators … Is this word? Well, simulation … We use the simulator again and again, and it also simulates the Boeing’s ADCP II (Advanced Display Processor II, Advanced Display Processor II), we will get navigation simulation … So it seems that it is a huge flight simulator. Tr: What is the difference between APG-82 and APG-63V3?

MS: APG-82 is born on the basis of APG-79 and APG-63. The APG-63v3 comes from V0 and V1 of the series. These two are mechanical scanning phases … APG-63v3 AESA has fairly and APG-82 function, but at the same time, it is concerned with empty mission, Not like APG-82 paying attention to empty air and airping.

Two radars have some physical and different, and the power supply of 63 is very similar to APG-82, but it has four other units. Tr: What does this mean about the number of channels?

MS: About the number of channels, APG-63V3 has a dual-channel system without growth, because it is a long time ago.
